Optometry at The Shops is a local, family owned, Optometry practice at The Shops in Mission Viejo. The practice has been located in Mission Viejo since the mall opened in 1979. Optometry at The Shops has a long standing tradition of providing extraordinary patient care with personalized customer service to families in South Orange County. We sincerely value the relationships we have with our patients, many of whom have been loyal patrons for many years.

Meet The Doctor
Dr. Mehreen Zia
Dr. Mehreen Zia was born and raised in Calgary, Canada and graduated from University of Calgary with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. She then moved to New York City where she completed her Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry in 2011. Dr. Zia completed her clinical rotations specializing in pediatrics at SUNY, as well as in refractive surgery at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. She is the recipient of many academic achievement awards throughout her education. After graduation, she joined a respectable private practice and after practicing Optometry in Canada for 4 years, she made an escape from the cold weather to join a practice in Nevada. While in the desert, she frequently visited southern California and fell in love with beautiful Orange County and decided to make it her new home.
